Olympus MTB Downhill 2004 will be held from May 7th until May 9th.
Organizers are expecting some 150 riders from 10 European countries.
The course will be relocated from the top of Medvednica Mountain to the
south slopes. We're talking about the old, classic course that was used
between '94 and '99. This move was influenced by the total reconstruction of
Sljeme ski-resort that will be undertaken during May.
The course is situated on the Medvednica Mountain, above Zagreb/Croatia. It
is very popular resort where many locals spend their weekends. Course is
comprized of some very steep parts and some flat ones that require
pedalling.
It is 2,6 km long (360 m of drop) with racing time of some 3,5 min. The
start will be situated approximately at the half way to the top of the
mountain, with direct access from paved road. Finish will be at the bottom
station of ZET gondola.
