Hi guys my name is Giorgio , I am from Italy , Sardinia .
My island it is a real paradise for mountain biking , still scarcely populated , with an average altitude of 2000 ft , highest peaks topping at 6000 ft , wild nature , and a very nice climate allowing mountain biking practice all year-round.
We also can enjoy a fantastic trail ,The TRANSARDINIA , 7 days , from North to South. 450 km . 33.000 ft of total climb ,of pure freeriding bliss!
this is a link to a video showing one of the nicest singletrack downhill trails in the area of Cagliari , the main city , down in the south .

Thank you zec, it is really "figo",
Technical and narrow in the beginning, then rocky and fast , always very challenging .
We have a lot of trails like this in the 7 days of the Transardinia.
I will make some more videoclips in the next days , I will keep you informed..

Your island is a paradise at all,i had been there in1987 with my motorbike and i really loved it,What i never will forget is the typical smell all over the island,wonderful.
But the prices for spending holidays there have got extreme heights,even in the north and at the eastcoast.

well actually if you are happy with some agriturismo you can spend as little as 65 euros per day average for full board....south is way cheaper.

Hi guys , among all of the new dates for the Transardinia 2007, there will be a special one :05/05/2007-11/05/2007.
I will be one of the guides ,so it will be an edition of the tour specially designed for the freeride enthusiasts...
we will depart from Olbia the 5th at 10.00 in the morning arriving in Cagliari down in the south the 11th at 16.00.
